What type of decals does FireandRescueDecals make?
All F&RD decals are diecut. Unlike printed decals which have a material border around the design, F&RD decals do not have any border. The design is cut out of colored vinyl material. This process produces a superior decal that looks cleaner and lasts longer outdoors.
What are the decals made of?
FireandRescueDecals produces decals from high quality outdoor-grade, diecut vinyl. This vinyl is first quality and has excellent indoor / outdoor duability.
How long do these decals last?
The average outdoor life expectancy for F&RDs decals ranges between five to seven years. A well maintained decal should last even longer.
Does F&RD make Custom Decals?
Yes, in fact, F&RD specializes in custom decals! F&RD can create or recreate an existing logo for you in a wide range of sizes and colors. If you have any questions regarding a custom decal please contact us at: contact@fireandrescuedecals.com.
Can I install the decals myself?
Yes, most of F&RDs products are easy to install for beginners, with the exception of racing stripes. All you need is a flexible piece of plastic, such as a drivers licence or credit card.
Will the decals damage painted surfaces on my car?
The vinyl will not damage any surfaces. This is the same material that is used for truck lettering, and commercial signage.
How do I remove the decals?
Vinyl graphics and decals can be easily removed. Carefully heat the decal with a heat gun or hairdryer. Use your fingernail to lift up the edge of the decal. Overheating the decal will result in more difficult removal, as well as underheating. Once the vinyl is removed, use PREPSOL or a thinner to remove any glue residue.
